About Me

A native Californian, I grew up in Berkeley and have a life long affinity for the natural environment. As a family, we spent many vacations in the national parks, as far away as Alaska and much time outdoors in the Sierras, camping, hiking and skiing. Between college semesters I worked at Yosemite and Yellowstone.
In architecture, I believe there is a direct relationship between the schematic design and the finished details; between the structural system and its esthetic appearance, and between all programmatic requirements:

To harmonize these concepts with the overall design, this is the challenge of the Designer/Architect.
